Product Owner, Offer & Order (OOSD)

What you’ll be doing

Virgin Australia requires a Product Owner to lead the integration of Velocity loyalty within our transformational Offer and Order (OOSD) program and Sabre Mosaic platform.

As Virgin Australia transitions from transaction-focused, PNR-based systems to a customer-centric offer and order model, loyalty sits at the heart of delivering personalised, dynamic experiences.

Collaborating closely with internal and external cross-functional teams, e.g. IT, Commercial & Operations, this will role help shape and deliver our OOSD vision and roadmap in a product partnership with Sabre.

Further responsibilities: 

  • Oversee the full product lifecycle, from concept to deployment, ensuring the platform remains scalable, secure, and reliable.
  • Refine outline of next sprint/release and go-forward optimisation plan, if needed.
  • Accountable to measure, report and achieve product delivery KPIs for the epics and sprint drops.
  • Contribute to the development of OOSD strategy and roadmap.
  • Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and actionable tasks for the development team.
  • Develop, review, and conduct testing of OOSD platform along with other product owners and test team.
  • Manage and prioritise defects in accordance to defined test strategy and commercial agreements.
  • Manage the relevant delivery teams (internal and external) to deliver the desired program outcomes, including providing coaching to team members.

You’ll be great in this role if you have…

We are looking for a candidate who brings strong airline expertise and deep loyalty domain knowledge required to navigate Velocity's unique complexities.

  •  5+ years of experience in a product ownership, project management or consulting, within an airline travel or technology-driven organisation
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale IT programs, with the ability to oversee multiple projects concurrently
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams and functions
  • Excellent problem-solving, risk management, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to lead agile development teams and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Experience with IATA NDC, ONE Order, or other airline industry standards is highly desirable.
  • Experience managing an airline commercial or IT initiatives with a major airline technology vendor. (Sabre, Amadeus).
