What you’ll be doing:
As the Leader, Group Accounting Services – Corporate & Remuneration, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality accounting services related to corporate, payroll, employee remuneration costs and Share Based Payments. Your work will be critical in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of financial reporting, while maintaining a strong internal control environment.
You’ll play a key role in overseeing the governance and integrity of cost recognition, including associated liabilities, provisions, and prepayments in the General Ledger. In addition, you’ll lead and support an onshore Senior Group Accountant and offshore accounting team, driving consistency, quality, and compliance with accounting standards.
This is a hands-on leadership role that blends technical expertise with operational execution. You’ll contribute directly to accurate financial outcomes, robust internal controls, and the continuous improvement of accounting processes across the group.
You’ll be great in this role if you:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business or Commerce, and are CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent)
- Bring at least 5 years of post-qualification experience in a commercial environment, ideally within a large corporate or ASX-listed organisation with a complex structure
- Have a proven track record in leading large teams of finance professionals, with strong people leadership and mentoring capabilities
- Demonstrate expertise in change management and process improvement within a finance function
- Excel at building strong, collaborative relationships and delivering high-quality service and advice across diverse business units
- Thrive in fast-paced environments, with excellent self-management, adaptability, and the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Are a confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills, a team mindset, and a proactive, analytical approach
- Show resilience and agility in navigating change within dynamic industries
- Possess advanced Excel skills and are a high-end user of Oracle Financials or other ERP systems
- Have deep knowledge of current accounting principles and guidelines, with the ability to apply them in a practical, business-focused way
Desirable qualifications and experience:
- Master of Business or postgraduate studies in Business, Law, or Aviation
- Fellow status with CPA or CA
- Experience in multi-entity or multinational organisations with complex structures
- Exposure to aviation or similarly regulated industries
