What you’ll be doing:

In this role, you will provide timely and accurate financial results and analysis to support the Velocity business, including the completion of month end activities, support business initiatives and projects. You’ll work closely with teams across finance and the broader business to gather insights, resolve queries and provide clear analytical commentary on performance.

You’ll also drive ongoing process improvements, support ad‑hoc projects as the business continues to grow, and design, implement and maintain robust financial controls, policies and processes. Throughout, you’ll be supported by the Leader, Financial Accounting and the Financial Accountant.

This is a 12 month maximum term contract opportunity.

You’ll be great in this role if you:

• Hold a Bachelor of Commerce (or equivalent) and are CA or CPA qualified
• Bring at least 3 years’ post‑qualification experience
• Have experience preparing or auditing statutory financial statements
• Bring experience with complex reconciliations
• Have worked in an ASX‑listed environment (with aviation experience and Oracle ERP exposure a bonus)
• Communicate clearly and confidently, translating complex technical accounting concepts for different audiences
• Thrive under strict deadlines and adapt well to changing priorities
• Deliver highly accurate financial analysis and reporting
• Approach problems with initiative and a drive for continuous process improvement
• Build strong stakeholder relationships and provide high‑quality service, advice and support
• Have strong technical accounting knowledge and a solid understanding of IFRS standards
