Social Media and Content Manager

What you’ll be doing:

You’ll lead the charge in engaging over 2 million followers across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X and YouTube, creating content that drives impact for Virgin Australia and our partners. From crafting compelling paid and organic campaigns to writing standout social copy and overseeing community management, you’ll ensure every interaction delivers exceptional customer experience. You’ll also provide strategic advice to senior stakeholders, leveraging social media to amplify campaigns and maximise ROI.

You’ll be great in this role if you:

  • Have a proven track record leading social media for a major brand and building audiences that drive engagement and results.
  • Bring 8+ years’ experience in social media and content, with strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a high-performing team.
  • Thrive in fast-paced, issues-rich environments and know how to deliver under pressure.
  • Are a passionate storyteller with exceptional copywriting and editing skills across multiple channels.
  • Communicate clearly and confidently, building strong relationships with stakeholders and media.
  • Stay ahead of social trends and have deep knowledge of all major platforms.
  • Work autonomously, meet deadlines, and bring creative flair to everything you do.

(Bonus points for a communications degree or agency experience!)
